Julian started Jude's Furniture Co. at 22. Solo operator. He shot the photos, wrote the listings, set the prices, staged the pieces, answered every message and figured out the strategy as he went. The whole thing ran out of a warehouse in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
The first inventory was liquidation and overstock sectionals: good furniture that got scratched in a warehouse, returned for the wrong color, or overbought by a big retailer. Stuff that would otherwise get dumped. He bought it, cleaned it up, priced it honest and got it into Triangle-area homes for a fraction of retail.
It worked, so it grew. There's a real delivery and warehouse crew now, which is why we can get a couch to your living room in 1-3 days and haul the old one out on the way back.
Then came factory-direct new furniture. The Steppe line, built to order and shipped straight to us. Same idea as day one: cut out the showroom, keep the price fair, deliver it ourselves.
That's the whole story. No investors, no corporate mission statement. A local kid who built a furniture business one couch at a time, and a crew that treats your house like their mom's house.
